PM to flag off Kerala Vande Bharat Express on April 25

Trivandrum: Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will flag off the inaugural Service of Vande Bharat Express between Thiruvananthapuram Central and Kasaragod on 25th April 2023 (Tuesday) from Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station.

In order to provide an opportunity for children, rail enthusiasts and the general public to get a glimpse of the prestigious train service, the inaugural special of Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express will have stoppages at 14 railway stations en route. Further, souvenir passes for travel in the inaugural special Vande Bharat Express have been issued to media, rail fans and school children, among others.

Train no. 02634 Thiruvananthapuram Central –Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express (Inaugural Special) is expected to be flagged off from Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station at 10.30 am and reach Kasargod by 21.15  hrs with stoppages at all major stations en route. The regular service will commence from Kasargod on April 26 at 14.30 hrs and from Thiruvananthapuram on April 28 at 5.20 am.

Shri Arif Mohammed Khan,  Governor of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology and other dignitaries will grace the occasion.
